According to the release, the deals will extend until the CBCS Finals in December, which is the last stage of the circuit.

Miah Campos, Head of Operations at CBCS, commented: “It is a very proud collaboration, as it reinforces the prestige of our circuit in the CS:GO scenario. We welcome our new partners with open arms, who unite CBCS with such notable brands in their respective sectors.

“From this agreement will come activations with opportunities that add a lot not only to the circuit but also to our audience.”

Other activations include a ‘takeover’ of the CBCS virtual store on Twitch, discount offers at Casas Bahia’s stores, brand integration, and an unnamed Black Friday action.

On social networks and live broadcasts of the matches, QR Codes will be released that will lead to product offers at Casas Bahia, selected specifically for the circuit audience.

Gabriel Ribeiro, Manager of Via Social Networks, commented: “We are expanding our brand’s performance in the games market, a category that has grown a lot. We had the hiring of Nobru as Creative Head, the sponsorship of Fluxo and it is part of our strategy to be increasingly present at events such as CBCS, reinforcing the brand’s performance and its relationship with the young audience.”

The Brazilian Counter-Strike Circuit has recently started its fourth tournament of the year, with the tournament’s group stage scheduled for August 25th. The QualiFiRe Retake Series sees teams compete for part of its BRL $25,000 (~£3384.61) prize pool and circuit points.

Esports Insider says: Casas Bahia already has a strong presence in the Free Fire ecosystem, sponsoring Fluxo and having Nobru as its Head Creative of Games. Now the retail store, along with Intel, will have a presence in the Counter-Strike scene which should strengthen its brand appeal even more.
