Intel extends partnership with NSE
Technology company Intel has extended its partnership with National Student Esports (NSE), the official body of university esports in the UK.
As a result of the extension, Intel will continue to support UK university students for the 2021/22 academic year. This includes bringing back the Intel FutureGen programme and working with NSE on a new joint initiative designed to recognise and reward ‘esports success stories’.

The partnership extension also sees Intel remain as a headline partner for the British University Esports Championship.
Alex Coulson, Managing Director of NSE, commented: “Adding to the student experience is at the core of NSE’s focus, whether that’s through esports or our more educational initiatives. We couldn’t be happier that Intel has continued to show their support once again and recognises the importance of aiding UK university students in their endeavours.
“We’re excited to work together on existing projects like the British University Esports Championship and the Intel FutureGen programme, but also to work on new ideas and other ways to reward and aid the student community.”
First introduced in 2019, the Intel FutureGen programme looks to nurture high achieving students and help develop their skills to enhance future career opportunities. Alongside its collaborative initiatives with NSE, Intel also sponsors the ESL Premiership, a domestic esports competition for the UK and Ireland.
